Toolpath Viewer

Terms and Conditions

Effective 26 October 2026. Last updated 5 September 2026.

1. Who you are dealing with

Toolpath Viewer (the "Software") is made and supported by Ricky Went, trading as a sole trader in Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). Contact: hello@toolpathviewer.com.

2. Purchases and the merchant of record

Purchases on this website are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), which acts as the merchant of record. Paddle takes your payment, calculates and remits any GST, VAT or sales tax that applies in your country, and issues your receipt or tax invoice. Paddle's own checkout terms apply to the transaction. Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise.

3. What you are buying

You are buying a licence to use the Software, not the Software itself. The licence you receive depends on the tier you choose:

4. Updates

A Pro licence includes all updates released during the 12 months after purchase. After that period the Software continues to work indefinitely with the last version you are entitled to. You may buy further 12-month update periods; renewal is optional and the Software never stops working because you chose not to renew.

5. Free trial

The trial gives you the Pro features for 30 days without payment. When the trial ends the Software reverts to Core. Trial use is subject to these terms.

6. What you may not do

7. Your programs stay yours

The Software runs on your computer and does not send your files, or anything about them, anywhere. We claim no rights over the programs you open, edit or save with it.

8. The Software is a checker, not a safety system

Toolpath Viewer displays and analyses machine programs so you can inspect them. It does not simulate material removal, machine kinematics, collisions or controller behaviour, and the run-time and dimension figures it shows are estimates derived from the program text. You remain responsible for verifying every program on the machine, following the machine maker's safety procedures, and for the results of running any program. Do not treat the Software's output as confirmation that a program is safe to run.

9. Guarantees and liability

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those guarantees or any other right you have under a law that cannot be excluded.

To the extent the law allows: the Software is provided as is; we do not promise that it is free of errors or that it will suit your particular purpose; and our total liability to you for anything arising from the Software or these terms is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including damaged material, tooling, machines or lost production, except where the law says otherwise.

10. Refunds

See the Refund Policy. In short: 14 days, no questions asked.

11. Ending the licence

Your licence ends if you materially breach section 6 and do not fix the breach within 14 days of being told about it. You may end it at any time by uninstalling the Software.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms for future purchases and for new versions of the Software. The terms in force when you bought your licence keep applying to that licence.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and any dispute will be dealt with by the courts of Queensland, without affecting consumer protections that apply in your own country.
